Mohan Tripathi MD

Dr. Tripathi is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. After graduating cum laude from Rutgers University with a BA in Genetics, Dr. Tripathi earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. This was followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His fellowship in Spine Surgery was completed at University of California – San Diego, one of the most comprehensive and sought-after spine surgery fellowships in the country.
Dr. Tripathi has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and presentations and remains active in research. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.
His practice at New York Spine Specialist encompasses a wide range of spinal conditions, including traumatic injuries and degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His training allows him to cater treatment options specifically to the patient and their condition. His treatment philosophy is simple: “Surgery should be the last resort. I would not recommend any treatment to a patient that I would not accept for myself, my friends, or my family.”
In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, swimming, and water polo. He also is proficient in conversational Gujarati.
